How much do you know about arc plasma electric lighter? Let arc plasma electric lighter seller Fukkuda take you to understand the plasma extraction process.

Plasma refers to a gaseous substance in an ionized state in which the number of negatively charged particles (electrons, negative ions) equals the number of positively charged particles (positive ions). It is usually juxtaposed with the solid, liquid and gaseous states of matter, and is called the fourth state of matter. By means of gas discharge or heating, enough energy is obtained from the outside world to make the electrons bound by the orbits in the gas molecules or atoms become free electrons, and then the plasma can be formed.

The real application of plasma in the chemical industry was after the 1950s. The Hess and Hoechst chemical plants in the Federal Republic of Germany successfully produced acetylene from the pyrolysis of methane and other hydrocarbons in a hydrogen plasma in the 1950s. Since then, the United States, the Soviet Union and Japan have correspondingly built experimental plants for plasma-to-acetylene production. This method has a simple process and strong adaptability to raw materials, but the power consumption is high, which limits its large-scale promotion. In the 1960s, American Ion Arc Company used zircon sand as raw material to prepare zirconia by one-step cracking in DC arc plasma. In the late 1970s, China used borax and urea as raw materials to prepare high-purity hexagonal boron nitride powder in DC arc plasma. This plasma extraction process has the advantages of high product purity, low cost, and simple process flow. In addition, titanium dioxide can also be produced using plasma technology.

The main features of the Plasma extraction process

① There are positive and negative ions in the plasma, which can be used as an intermediate reaction medium. In particular, high-energy ions or atoms in an excited state can promote many chemical reactions.

② Because any gaseous substance can form a plasma, it is easy to adjust the atmosphere of the reaction system, and an oxidizing atmosphere, a reducing atmosphere or a neutral atmosphere can be obtained by selecting the plasma medium.

③ Plasma itself is a good conductor, so the magnetic field can be used to control the distribution of plasma and its movement, which is beneficial to the control of chemical process.

④ Thermal plasma provides a reaction environment with concentrated energy and high temperature. Hot plasma with a temperature of 104-105°C is the hottest available heat source on Earth. It can not only be used to greatly increase the reaction rate, but also to produce chemical reactions that are impossible under normal temperature conditions. In addition, high temperature radiation in thermal plasmas can cause certain photoelectric reactions.
