GameSpot's Diablo Immortal review scored the D2R Items game with a score of 6/10. "Diablo Immortal's gameplay is quite good-looking and well-crafted adventure with a game that strikes all the proper areas, even if its final game begins to rely on microtransactions in a way," reviewer Alessandro Barbosa said.

Diablo was built for PC when it first came out in 2000. But when it came out, Diablo: Resurrected, the action-RPG classic will come to consoles in the beginning. As it turns out Blizzard needed to put considerable effort into the game to make sure the experience on consoles lived up to its famed status without altering the basic design in the game.

In a brand new blog post exploring how Diablo Resurrected team considered changing the game's console version, design director Robert Gallerani explained how decisions made regarding the game's playing on consoles were an attempt to concentrate "on a very different player than the PC gamers." Because many console gamers have more experience playing the console version of Diablo, Blizzard needed to create Diablo similar to the console version.

One way Diablo: Resurrected on consoles does this is to take the lead from Diablo's playing book with regard to how it handles mapping and displaying capabilities.

"In the very first Diablo, a player had two buttons: right and left mouse clicks," D2R items for sale PS4 writes. "To gain access to a variety of diverse abilities, players make use of hotkeys to swiftly remap these two buttons. With a controller, this was changed to not remap instead, the buttons activate the abilities. At that point, you can see these abilities in a similar way to Diablo, in the lower part in the HUD."
