In a blog post(opens in a new tab) posted yesterday, the team behind the development provided an update on the game's numerous bots, and said it was "working on internal methods and tools to make it more difficult for bots to join the game".

It follows an announcement made last week, which stated that Smilegate had "been engaged in creating effective tools and methods to detect and eliminate Bots that were playing the game" and had banned more than a million "bot" accounts from its servers(opens in a new window) on March 4.

"We realize that this isn't going to resolve the issue on its own and that bots are still operating in the game, and we'd like to offer reassurance that this was just one stage in the ongoing fight.

"Following the initial ban wave, we're still rolling out further bans to remove further bots in the game. Beyond that, we are also working on internal methods and tools to make it harder for bots to join the game, particularly given the speed at which they're being developed. These updates are ready to be incorporated into the game. "We've also heard player concerns regarding the impact these bots may have on the economic system in the game when it comes to selling and buying gold and we're watching this issue," the post explained. "We have also changed the gold reward to silver in some Rapport in addition to Guide buy Lost Ark Gold rewards in order to avoid the misuse of these systems by bots in addition to gold farmer."
