Digital HD editions of World of Warcraft release on September WoTLK Gold. If you'd like to wait for a physical copy with lots of additional features then you'll need to hang until September 27. when they release the DVD, Blu-ray, and 4K versions are released.

The Blu-ray edition comes with an array of exclusives, including motion comics and a multi-part documentary about the process of bringing World of Warcraft to film and a featurette about wax World of Warcraft figures, and the teaser that was presented at San Diego Comic-Con in 2013.

The motion comic tells an arc that revolves around Prince Llane, Captain Lothar, as well as Guardian Medivh. The documentary however includes everything from actors and stunts, to motion effects as well as mocap.

In addition the Blu-ray and DVD versions include deleted scenes as well as a gag reel, an origin story, a section about World of Warcraft 's fandom and a look at the effects on visuals as well as facial recognition technology.

One thing that's not included in the Blu-ray/DVD releases is the extended version that was discussed in the tweets of director Duncan Jones back in May. Jones stated via Twitter that there will "be no extended version in the event that the theatrical version is successful." World of Warcraft didn't perform spectacularly on the WOW WoTLK Classic Gold screens of North America, but it performed quite well in China and even beat Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
